This Sunday was . . . well.

Normally today we would have been in the wrestling room of Brighton High school for StuCo. However, Since they are doing the play Oklahoma. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-klahoma where the wind comes . . . BOOO!!! Since they have the play in the main auditorium, Adult service was in the Auxiliary gym and StuCo was just completely block out. So we just didn't have StuCo. This was a little frustrating because honestly, we had a great service planned. And I hate telling the Students who have waited to play and have been scheduled that week that, sorry. Even after all the work of scheduling, emailing, phone calls, planning center online, and uploading the songs, Hey, no StuCo this week. Also, the school called us thursday afternoon after I left (which had to be after 5pm) and told us we can't be in the Wrestling room, where we have StuCo, for this Sunday. So this week was a little crazy. Also, this week, I dressed up in a turkey costume and danced around to this song and Video on Stage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=501sNcmrwGQ . From what the parents say they have Oklahoma next week as well, which means we'll "MOST LIKELY" be blocked out AGAIN. I'm playing drums in Adult service next week so I wouldn't be in StuCo anyways but . . . What am I planning all these services for again?!? Oh well, it's play season and we're a portable church that meets in a High school, what can I say? So it's totally snowing really hard outside and there's a good 2 inches on my car already!!! I love snow!!!! So because we didn't have StuCo this week we're doing a movie night here at the Howell Property. The weather is pretty bad so we'll see how the turn out goes. We're watching Kung Fu Panda. Last night I saw Madagascar 2 with Tara, listen to the words coming out of my mouth. LISTEN. Do you hear them? No you don't, you're reading. However, GO SEE THIS MOVIE. So I know I haven't posted here in a looooooong time. It's primarily because I've been working really hard on the new StuCo Myspace. I've been learning a lot of CSS and HTML. That stuff is confusing but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. If you want to check out the myspace you can check it out at . . .

The goal is to have the students put StuCo as their #1 friend. This could be a huge thing in getting the word out about StuCo. We're also going to have banners that the students can link to and put on their myspace. I've been on most of the students myspace and I've seen the many comments from their friends that they obviously have relationships with. I've never met these students and neither has Brad. So I think it would be awesome if they could see StuCo as their top friends. It would bring up conversation and hopefully would lead to them inviting their friends to church. I'm going to update it each week with videos and audio of the service as well as keep it updated with the current happenings in StuCo. It'll be sweet. So as you can imagine. When your spending 5 hours at a time coding, the last thing you want to do is blog. So I'll make this one a short one. Until next time!
